Dr. Max Luna is a native of Guatemala, where he obtained his medical degree from the University of San Carlos, Guatemala. He is a clinician and educator at UVA in clinical cardiology and echocardiography. He is passionate about global health and preventing non-communicable diseases in low to middle-income countries, particularly cardiovascular diseases in Latina America. He is an active member of the Center for Global Health and the steering committee of the UVA-Guatemala Initiative.
