Ryan began working with the UVA Student and Employee Health Wise Clinic in April 2021. He enjoys getting to be a point of contact for students, faculty, and staff as they navigate their own health. Communication is a passion of his, and this position allows him to guide discussions and plans with his patients, helping them better understand their options for managing their care. He hopes to continue learning more about the position and the resources available to his patients in the Wise County area, so he can offer more support and connections to care.
Ryan graduated from Berea College in 2017 with a degree in Community Health Education and a Dance Minor. During the summer season, he works as Stage Manager for Virginia’s outdoor theater, Trail of the Lonesome Pine. His theater experience with people of all ages and varying backgrounds has given him a greater purpose to lead a more fulfilling life, and he is honored to be a part of the UVA Health System.
