Ryan began working with the UVA Student and Employee Health Wise Clinic in April 2021. He enjoys getting to be a point of contact for students, faculty, and staff as they navigate their own health. Communication is a passion of his, and this position allows him to facilitate discussions and plans with his patients so they have a better understanding of their options when it comes to managing their own care. He hopes to continue learning more about the position as well as the resources available to his patients in the Wise county area, so that he can provide greater access and pathways to care.
Ryan graduated from Berea College in 2017 with a degree in Community Health Education and a Dance Minor. During the summer season, he works as Stage Manager for Virginia’s outdoor theater, Trail of the Lonesome Pine. His theater experience with people of all ages and varying backgrounds has given him a greater purpose to lead a more fulfilling life, and he is honored to be a part of the UVA Health System.
