Amber Eck is a 2021 graduate of Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond, Virginia. Since entering the nursing profession, she has gained valuable experience in both acute inpatient and ambulatory care settings, primarily supporting adult patients undergoing complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures—including heart transplants, total artificial hearts, and ventricular assist devices.

In 2024, Amber joined the University of Virginia’s Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology Department as a Registered Nurse Care Coordinator. She expanded her impact in 2025 by joining the Virginia at Home program in a role that aligns closely with her deep commitment to community-based care.

Amber is driven by a passion for population health and its mission to ensure healthy outcomes for all patients. Guided by the belief that every individual deserves high-quality, affordable healthcare, she brings empathy and dedication to every aspect of her practice. Her guiding principle is simple yet powerful: to leave people better than she found them. 

Amber is committed to advancing her expertise in public health nursing, championing positive patient experiences, and empowering individuals with the resources and education necessary to live healthier, more fulfilling lives—regardless of their background or circumstances.

Outside of her professional work, Amber enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring the food scenes of new cities.
