Our Population Health Behavioral Health team serves eligible* patients, UVA faculty, and employees and offers:
- Counseling support for issues such as: depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, stress, moods impacting healthcare engagement, life transitions, adjustments due to changes from chronic or acute illness and injuries, caregiving burden, grief/loss, addiction, end of life concerns, etc.
- Evidence-based psychotherapies for adverse life experiences such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Psychoeducation about emotional or psychological conditions
- Help learning skills that make it easier to cope, feel better, and follow through with treatment
- Referrals may be made to UVA Health behavioral health providers, community therapists, or local agencies for additional support or ongoing care
Population Health Behavioral Health appointments for individuals are offered by telehealth only. You will need to sign up for UVA MyChart in order to have access to our services.
