Bibliographies and Abstracts

Country-specific bibliographies (with abstracts) on needlesticks, sharps injury surveillance, and occupational exposure risk and prevention, by global region

Bibliographies for each global region (Asia/Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East/North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa) are arranged by country, in alphabetical order. For each country, references are listed in chronological order, most recent articles first. Each citation includes an abstract, if available. To add a citation, please contact us here.

Note: The International Healthcare Worker Safety Center has maintained an international bibliography on needlestick injuries and occupational exposures to bloodborne pathogens for more than a decade. Arranged in reverse chronological order (not by global region or country), it currently has more than 2500 entries, with the earliest citation dating from 1903. The U.S. and Canadian literature on this subject, which is extensive, is incorporated in and forms the core of this bibliography; we have not, however, created a separate bibliography for North America.
