All requests for STAT weekend testing must be made through the Clinical Pathology Resident on call (PIC1383).  Weekend on-call hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm.  Davis pager 1401.

LOCATION:                           

The Davis Laboratory is located on the second floor of the Davis Wing in the West Complex, room 2271.  The 2nd floor of the link ends at the laboratory front door.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Flow Cytometry:   Leukemia / lymphoma analysis on a variety of specimen types. Consult required with a brief history.  Specific CD markers are selected upon review of the morphology and history with the pathology resident. Clinical interpretation / consult included. Infectious disease analysis for H:S ratio and absolute CD 4 count.  Stem cell analysis (CD34) for bone marrow transplant. Select enzyme studies (PNH, CGD).

Serology:  IgG and IgM antibody analysis to a variety of infectious agents (EBV, CMV, HSV, VZV, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Toxoplasma).  Reactive syphilis screens are reported to the Health Department.  Celiac IgA and IgG, Phospholipid IgG and IgM, Vasculitis (MPO, PR3, GBM).

Rheumatology:  Auto-antibody screens performed for nuclear (ANA, ENA, dsDNA) and cytoplasmic antibodies.  Positive screen results are titered and reported with a pattern.  Cryoglobulins are to be collected in a red top tube, kept warm (37°C) and sent to the laboratory as soon as possible.

Allergy:  Allery testing for IgE specific antibodies to food, tree, mold, grass, weed, pollen, animal, drug and insect venom.

Semen Analysis:  Evaluation of fresh ejaculate to aid in post-vasectomy and infertility cases.

Miscellaneous:  Tau / Beta-2 Transferrin, Systemic Fungal Precipitins, Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis
