Who We Are

Our coordinator is Jon Howard, RN BSN NR-P CHSE.  He is a Medical Emergency Education Coordinator for the Life Support Learning Center since November 2012.  Previously, he was an UVa Emergency Department staff nurse (and still is, part-time), a financial analyst, and a math teacher.  In addition, he has been an EMT since 1989, and currently is a paramedic with the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad.  The best way to contact him is by email at jhoward@virginia.edu.

Amy Turner, RN BSN, is a Medical Emergency Education Coordinator in the Life Support Learning Center.  In addition, she frequently teaches classes such as BLS, ACLS, and AMLS.  Prior to her career in the LSLC, she worked as a critical care nurse educator and an ICU nurse, specializing in thoracic cardiovascular nursing.  She has been a nurse since 1990.  The best way to contact her is by email at ast2n@virginia.edu.

 

 

Schuyler Wong is a simulationist and an instructor with the Life Support Learning Center.  He also works as an Emergency Department Technician and volunteers as an EMT with the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad.  The best way to contact him is by email at scw5cb@virginia.edu.
