New Team Member Orientation (NTMO)

New Team Member Orientation is held on the first day of employment for all new hire staff ( and returning staff with greater than a 12 month break in service) and is facilitated by Human Resources. It occurs on Monday every other week, from 8:00am - 5:00pm at the Education Resource Center, 1220 Lee Street.

Orientation to Patient Care (OPC)

Orientation to Patient Care Materials 

Orientation to Patient Care is held on Day 2 and Day 3 after hire for patient care employees and is facilitated by Nursing Professional Development Services.

OPC Day 2 (Tuesday) Schedule Overview & Agenda

    • Occurs every other week, usually on Tuesday (this changes if orientation occurs on a holiday week), 8:30am - 5:00pm at 999 Grove Street.
    • Only employees with patient contact attend Day 2. Leave time is determined by job function.

OPC Day 3 (Wednesday) Schedule Overview & Agenda

    • Occurs every other week, usually on Wednesday (this changes if orientation occurs on a holiday week),  at 999 Grove Street. Attendance time depends on job description. See Standard Orientation Week Schedules by Job Title (above).
    • Only nurses and Inpatient PCA's attend Day 3.
    • Depending on job description, some nurses may be exempt from some sessions, or may not need to attend at all. 

Nursing Clinical Onboarding (NCO)

Nursing Clinical Onboarding occurs 4-6 weeks after hire, the third Friday of each month (8:30am-4:00pm) and is mandatory for RNs (except Clinician 1s)

Depending on job description, some nurses may be exempt from some sessions, or not be required to attend at all.
