Inpatient Cardiovascular Nutrition


To assist patients in developing the self management skills to maintain a heart healthy lifestyle with an overall healthy eating pattern with regular exercise routine.  

Role of the Clinical Nutritionist: 
Using their knowledge of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and implementing the nutrition care process including nutrition screening, assessment, nutrition diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation of patients. Our dietitians are committed to helping patients adopt sound nutrition practices to positively affect their heart health , educating patients and family members on various cardiovascular nutriton related topics including weight management, dietary levels of saturated fat, low sodium diets, and a reduced dietary intake of simple sugars.
