Rotation Information

Majority of the rotations for the University of Virginia Health System Dietetic Internship take place at the main UVA Medical Center including the hospital, the Emily Couric Cancer Center, West Complex and the Battle Building (pictured below). The University of Virginia Health System is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

Other rotations take place at sites in the community or off the main medical center grounds. Interns may choose to utilize the University Transit System (UTS), the Charlottesville-Area Transit (CAT), or the hospital shuttle system to get to various off-site rotations. The Renal rotation does require interns to drive as far as 1 hour and 15 minutes for a portion of the rotation. This rotation is completed in pairs. If driving is an issue, internship leadership can make adjustments with advance notice.
