COVID-19 Anxiety Emotional Support

Whether you are a health care provider, essential worker, or feeling fearful and anxious about the current outbreak, it's important to take a moment for self-care. Self-care will help you feel better and increase your ability to manage stress and deal with strong emotions. It only takes a few minutes to stop yourself from "going down the spiral," and our therapists can teach you effective techniques that will help you reduce distress related to the the COVID-19 outbreak. To connect to this service, you can contact your Advocate for a referral or reach out to one of our therapists directly:
  • Jody Sweeney, LCSW at jjs5b@virginia.edu or 434 297-7190
  • Arminda Perch, MBA, MSW* at ap5yb@ virginia.edu or 434 297-5839.
