Observer Program

air observerground observer

The UVA Health System and Pegasus Flight Operations proudly offers an Observer Program for both our Helicopter and our Critical Care Ground Unit.  This program is limited to public safety providers, nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals or healthcare students in our receiving and referring areas that are 21 years of age or older.  Those applicants who are accepted will be invited to participate in the Observer Program for one pre-determined shift from 0800-1900.  For safety reasons, no night observations are offered. Observers will be permitted to participate on either Wednesdays or Saturdays of each week.  Please click on the program below that you wish to participate in and download the application.  Once you have completed the application, mail it to the address listed on the cover letter and the Pegasus Observer Program Coordinator will get back with you as soon as possible to schedule your observation date.  We are sorry, but phone requests cannot be accepted.  Please make sure to fill out everything completely on your application prior to mailing to avoid any delays in processing your application.  We look forward to welcoming you to our team!  If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Andrew Fletcher, Pegasus Observer Program Coordinator, at ADF2X@virginia.edu
