July 21, 2005
2004 Antimicrobial Susceptibility Cards
Antimicrobial Susceptibility Cards for 2004 are now available. Please call 924-8059 to request copies of the card for your area.
Change in Primary Reference Laboratory
UVa Medical Laboratories has partnered with Mayo Medical Laboratories for provision of referral laboratory services. Computer connectivity with Mayo is expected to be complete by Wednesday, July 27th. Until that time, clinicians may see a slight delay in reporting of results. Please contact Customer Service at 434-924-5227 if you are having problems retrieving results.
As with any change in laboratory services, there may be slight differences in the reference intervals (“normal ranges”). Appropriate reference intervals for each test are provided in the laboratory report. Additionally, some specimen requirements have changed (minimum volumes and some specimen types). To find current specimen requirements, contact the Referral Lab desk at 434-982-4051 or go to www.mayomedicallaboratories.com click on the Mayo Medical Laboratories tab at the top of the screen and then Test Catalog (right side of the screen) and type in the name of the test.
